Been Away

Hi Everyone,
I've been away for awhile, mostly due to Facebook, but Wendy and I are attempting to do more frequent updates!.

First Day of First Grade

Somehow the summer managed to go by and today was the first day of school. Here's Wei Wei and his best friend this morning. Wei Wei looks thrilled about going back.

Not funny

It's April 1 and it's snowing. This is not an April Fool's joke . . . unfortunately.

March Madness

Yes, it's March and it's madness.

I'm mad that spring doesn't seem like it's ever going to come. With the exception of today, the weather has been cold and/or cold and rainy.

Jerry's mad that it's the tournament because it means that only college basketball is allowed on the tv.

Wei Wei is mad that Chinese school has so much homework.

Xiao Li is mad because . . . well, she's just generally mad.

But here she is enjoying today's warm weather. C'mon spring!

Xiao Li

I don't know how much of it is personality versus gender, but Xiao Li is different from Wei Wei in so many ways. She can be so sweet when she's not as mean as a snake (this translates to about five to ten minutes a day). Here she is during one of those five-ten minute periods. I think she ate Wei Wei's lunch and made him cry shortly after this pic was taken.

Christmas Spectacular

Whew! Christmas came and went! Things seem to get more and more hectic each year as the kids get older (and we keep adding to the group). Here is a picture of Gong Gong and Po Po with all six grandkids. Pretty impressive that we were able to wrangle everyone together.

Holiday Preparations

We were in Indiana for Thanksgiving and are in denial that it's already December. I tried to take a photo of the kids this morning for a holiday card. Here are some of the more interesting ones.
