The Liberace Look

Wei Wei got cool sunglasses from his friend Ethan for Valentine's Day. It's his Elton John/Liberace look. Only Wei Wei can make purple, heart-shaped sunglasses look cute.

Visiting the Doctor

Wei Wei had his two-year check-up today. He has grown, but still a peanut (unlike cousin Kaixiang, who is turning out to be quite the beefy moose).

He gained about two pounds and grew two inches since his 18-month check-up. This puts him at 33 inches long (15%) and 23 pounds, 8 ounces (5%). The bright side is that his head is in the 44% percentile at 48.5 cm (his head only grew 0.5 cm since the last visit).

He did not enjoy the visit, although he was excited about the sticker he got at the end of the visit. And he even surprised me by telling me the doctor's name on the way home.

He also told us tonight that Gong Gong calls Po Po "Susan" and that Po Po calls Gong Gong "Tian Win." Nothing gets by him -- we really have to watch what we say now!

Wei Wei Sleds

Wei Wei went sledding for the first time today -- nothing exotic, just in our backyard. Surprisingly, he was not that thrilled with it. He's normally a speed junkie, so I thought this would be right up his alley.

This video is from his second (and last run) around the yard, courtesy of Xiao Yi. You can see how thrilled he was it at the end. He was far more interested in clearing the steps of snow. Our little clean freak.

My second birthday

Some photos of Garrick's second birthday. We had a Thomas the Tank Engine theme. He really loves Thomas these days.

Visiting New Jersey

Judy, P'ng and Kaixiang stopped in for quick visit and took lots of pictures. So, I thought I would post a few. Sure was cold!

I now define BAD MOOD as:

Garrick.

Wow has he been a handful this weekend. Throwing things (food, spoons, tools, socks), hitting people (me), yelling (mostly "hold you). He is right on schedule for the 2's!
